`1. What is the Modal Ontological Argument (according to Van Inwagen)?
Provide an argument with numbered premises, and a conclusion. Also give reasons for the premises as sub-premises (use letters for these).
Your answer should look something like this:
Whatever begins to exist has a cause.
There is nothing existing now that had no cause.
The universe began to exist.
Science says the universe began to exist.
If the universe didn t begin to exist, it wouldn t exist now.
Therefore, the universe has a cause. (conclusion)
*Note, I don t say these sub-premises should be accepted.
